Analysis of the County's liability loss history is a vital function of the Risk Management Department. Such analysis enables the Risk Director to perform several important duties, among which are the following:

  • Identify areas in occupational health and safety requiring improvement
  • Produce reports for the Board of Supervisors and its numerous departments
  • Complete applications for insurance underwriting purposes
  • Assist the County Attorney's Office in drafting auditor letters
  • Assist the Financial Services Department in regular audits

The three charts below compile the liability loss data for the calendar years of 2004 through 2014. The charts analyze liability loss data by costs ($), type of claim (Auto, General, E&O), and department.  Once each chart is opened, loss data will appear when your mouse hovers over the specific area of the chart. To change the data view on each chart, simply click the buttons contained in the chart's legends.
