Yuma County Human Resources provides a variety of classes for all employees regardless of their position or management level. Classes range from leadership development to communications to Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). In addition, other classes are offered, as needed, to address rule changes, completing the annual performance evaluation, and other County wide mandates. Classes are designed to improve employees’ skills, knowledge, and abilities and overall well-being.

Yuma County Leadership Empowerment and Development Program (YuLead)

Yuma County’s Leadership Program prepares participants for succession planning. The program will expose participants to essential communication and leadership skills and provide a foundation for the development of employees for supervisory roles. The goal of YuLead is to produce a cohort of employees that have the ability, motivation, and commitment to assume positions of greater responsibilities and decision making within the organization.

Yuma County Governance, Operations & Vision Program (YuGov)

YuGov is Yuma County’s premier governance development and leadership program designed to equip Deputies and upper Management with a deep understanding of county operations, structures, and strategic vision. This program blends practical knowledge of governance functions with forward-thinking leadership principles to strengthen alignment, accountability, and long-term impact in public service.
