Safety is a priority for Yuma County. We strive to ensure that Yuma County employees, volunteers and residents have a safe, secure and healthful place in which to work and conduct business.
The Safety, Health and Security Program at Yuma County strives to maintain a safe and secure workplace thereby preventing workplace injuries, illnesses and fatalities. Proactive measures of hazard awareness, risk identification, education, training, program development, risk resolution and communication are practiced and provided for all employees.

Yuma County received the “2017 Commissioner's Partnership Award", ” from Arizona Division of Occupational Safety & Health. For over 10 years Yuma County Safety Compliance Officer has helped the Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH) bring safety training to businesses and workers in Yuma and surrounding communities.
