Yuma County Community Health Assessment 2012

This assessment was conducted by the Health Department who brought together community health leaders, providers and local residents to research and prioritize health needs of the Yuma County community. This assessment is ongoing and is scheduled to be reviewed again in 2016.

Restaurant Report Ratings

The Health Department conducts inspections of restaurants at least once a year. Inspectors check for compliance in food handling, food temperature, personal hygiene and vermin control. Each violation of a regulation receives a certain number of points. At the end of the inspection, the inspector totals the points, and gives the restaurant a rating. These ratings include: E for Excellent; S for Satisfactory; N for Needs Improvement and U for Unacceptable.
