Flood Control Advisory Board

The Board of Director's may appoint seven members to serve on this Citizen's Flood Control Advisory Board. Five members shall be resident taxpayers, three of whom shall be residents of the cities of the district. The City Engineer and the Chief Engineer or Manager of a major Irrigation District shall be the ex-officio members. Advisory board members are appointed to five year terms.

The Advisory Board studies the flood control, floodplain regulations, drainage and water conservation needs of the district. The Advisory Board will advise the Board of Directors as requested on these studies, and may submit to the Board reports and recommendations relating to such studies, but the recommendations are advisory only.

The Flood Control Advisory Board meets at the Department of Development Services Building on the first Thursday of each quarter at 9:00 a.m. or as needed to discuss matters pertaining to flood control drainage, floodplain regulations, water conservation and related matters.
