Malba Alvarez 

I am a lifelong Republican, educator, and small business owner dedicated to serving Yuma County with integrity, professionalism, and proven results. As the wife of a law enforcement officer and the mother of a former United States Army service member, I have a deep respect for the values of service, sacrifice, and responsibility that strengthen our communities.

I am a first-generation college graduate, earning a degree in Administration of Justice with a minor in Psychology from Northern Arizona University. For over a decade, I owned and operated a small business in Somerton and San Luis, where I built strong administrative and management experience while developing lasting relationships, supporting local families, and contributing to our community’s economic growth and stability.

My professional background includes experience as a Law and Public Safety Career and Technical Education educator, a former school librarian with the Gadsden Elementary School District, and current service as a substitute teacher for both the Yuma Union High School District and Gadsden Elementary School District. I have also worked in the business office at the Arizona Department of Corrections and serve on the Arizona Court Interpreter Registry.

I am prepared to serve as Clerk and elevate the office with integrity.

Bobbie Jo Daily 

I am Bobbie Jo Daily, and I am proud to be a candidate for the Clerk of Superior Court in Yuma County, rooted in experience, leadership and service.

I am a loving wife and mother of two wonderful children, and Yuma is where I am raising my family. Growing up in Yuma's agricultural community, I learned the value of hard work, integrity, and service from my parents.

For more than 15 years, I have served the citizens of Yuma County in the Clerk's Office, working my way up while learning every division and understanding how each role supports our courts and community. For the past eight years, I have had the honor of serving as Chief Deputy Clerk, overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of the office.

I believe strong public service requires experience, professionalism, accountability and compassion. My hands on experience has prepared me to lead this office with knowledge, integrity, and genuine commitment to the people of Yuma County.

As the only candidate with direct experience in the Clerk's Office, I'm ready to continue serving our community with the leadership this important role deserves.

Tadeo Vazquez 

I am writing to express my interest in serving and supporting my community. After honorably retiring from the Arizona State Prison Complex with over 20 years of service as a Correctional Officer, I remain committed to helping others and continuing to make a positive impact.

Throughout my career, I gained valuable experience in leadership, training, crisis response, and mentorship. These experiences have prepared me to work with people from diverse backgrounds and to help guide individuals through challenging situations.

My goal is to help bring resources and opportunities to members of my community and assist them in navigating the processes needed to access those resources. With the help and guidance of God, I hope to continue serving others and helping make opportunities more accessible for those who need them most.

Carly Sandoval 

My name is Carly Sandoval, and I am running for Justice of the Peace because I believe our courts must be fair, efficient, and grounded in respect for every person who comes before them. With more than 20 years of experience in the criminal justice system and over 15 years serving within our Justice Court, I bring the knowledge and leadership needed to serve with integrity and accountability.

As a Hearing Officer and Initial Appearance Master, I preside over small claims, civil traffic, and juvenile matters, and conduct initial appearances for in-custody cases across all Yuma County courts. This role requires sound judgment, consistency, and a strong commitment to upholding the rule of law.

Raised in the agricultural community of Somerton, I learned the values of hard work, responsibility, and service early in life. As a lifelong resident of Yuma County, I understand our community because I have lived and served here for decades.

I am prepared to serve on day one with experience, accountability, and dedication to fairness. I respectfully ask for your support as I continue serving the community I am proud to call home.

Jorge Gonzalez

My name is Jorge Gonzalez, and I am your candidate for Justice of the Peace.  My experience as a Veteran, Retired law enforcement officer, and Ordained minister has instilled in me a deep respect for justice and community service.

As a Veteran, I understand the value of discipline, duty, and integrity.  My 21 years in law enforcement have given me firsthand experience in upholding the law and ensuring fairness for all.  These qualities are essential to addressing issues important to Yuma.  As an Ordained Minister, I am committed to treating every individual with respect, empathy, and understanding.  I am ready to use my experience to support local families and provide fair judgments that reflect the needs and values of our Yuma community.

With over 8 years of experience as a Critical Incident Commander with the Federal Government, I have the ability to make tough decisions with fairness and thoughtfulness.  I believe in transparent communication and fostering an inclusive environment where every voice is valued.  Additionally, being bilingual allows me to better understand and serve our community.

Richard Mendez 

While working and raising my family, I attended the Arizona Western College Law Enforcement Training Academy, where I earned my Arizona Peace Officer certification. I later served with the Wellton Police Department before returning to YCSO. During my career, I have worked with the Narcotics Task Force, Special Response Team, and served as a less-lethal instructor. I eventually achieved the rank of Sergeant and served as a Patrol Supervisor.

It has been an honor to serve our nation and the citizens of Yuma County. I now seek the opportunity to continue serving our community as Justice of the Peace for Precinct #2. With my law enforcement knowledge and courtroom experience, I am committed to ensuring everyone who enters the courtroom is treated with fairness, honesty, and respect.

I am seeking your support for Judge of Superior Court. I am a life-long resident of Yuma County and am a proud alumnus of the Somerton School District and Yuma Union High School District. I graduated in the top ten from Cibola High in 1994 and graduated with class honors distinction from the University of Michigan, which consistently ranks as one of the top public universities in the country. I attended law school at Arizona State University and graduated in 2001 and immediately returned to Yuma County where I have worked for the past 25 years.

I have practiced law in the private and public sector. I was elected by voters in Yuma County to serve as justice of the peace judge for two terms (2007-2014). I have served as Somerton City Attorney and currently serve as Somerton City Prosecutor. In private practice, I have experience in criminal and family court.

I am ready to serve as your next judge on day one. I hope I have earned your trust and confidence these past 25 years working in every court in Yuma County. On my free time I enjoy hiking, paddle boarding, and creating Tik Tok content.
