This Board determines the suitability of alternate materials and methods of construction and hears appeals of orders, decisions or interpretations made by the Fire Code Official.

The Yuma County Board of Supervisors appoints the members to a four year term. The qualification’s the membership of this Board is required to have is specified in Appendix A of the 2003 International Fire Code.

Meetings are held on an "as need" “basis.

This Board is required to have members from the following categories who are residents of Yuma County:

•  Design Professional
•  Fire Protection Engineering Professional
•  Industrial Safety Professional
•  General Contractor
•  General Industry or Business Representative
