The Environmental Programs Division manages the Yuma County Storm Water Program to comply with the Federal Clean Water Act, by assisting the public and construction industry with providing education, consultation, plan reviews and inspection services regarding water quality standards. We are responsible for ensuring that all construction sites disturbing soil on sites greater than an acre are in compliance and have plans approved to minimize soil erosion and sedimentation runoff resulting in lower turbidity of surface waters.
