Juvenile Detention Review Committee

The Juvenile Detention Review Committee was established by the Yuma County Board of Supervisors on July 22, 2026 to conduct a comprehensive review of the County resources dedicated to juvenile detention services, including operating costs, staffing, facilities, funding, organizational structure, service delivery and other matters affecting the long-term sustainability and effectiveness of those services. The committee shall identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, strengthen fiscal sustainability, enhance service delivery and ensure the effective use of public resources while maintaining public safety and compliance with applicable laws. 

On or before July 22, 2027, the committee shall submit a report of its findings and recommendations to the Board of Supervisors. The committee shall dissolve 90 days after submitting its report unless otherwise dissolved or extended by the Board of Supervisors.
