Division Structure

The County Attorney’s Office is comprised of four (4) divisions and each Division is supervised or overseen by a division head or manager who reports directly to the County Attorney.

The Administrative Division is responsible for planning and executing a comprehensive range of administrative service in such critical area as Budget, Finance, Grants, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Purchasing. Functions and operations of the Division are overseen by the Financial Administrative Manager; in addition, this Division has one (1) Administrative Legal Assistant and one (1) Financial Specialist.

The Civil Division is supervised by a Chief Civil Deputy County Attorney and is responsible for handling civil related legal matters on behalf of Yuma County, adoptions, and the County Attorney’s Bad Check Program. In addition to the Chief Civil Deputy, this Division has three (3) Deputy County Attorneys, one (1) Executive Legal Assistant, and four (4) Paralegals.

The Criminal Division is supervised by a Chief Criminal Deputy County Attorney and is responsible for the prosecution of all felony criminal cases, all misdemeanor cases outside of municipal boundaries, and all juvenile criminal cases.  In addition to the Chief Criminal Deputy, this Division has nineteen (19) Deputy County Attorneys, one (1) Executive Legal Assistant, one (1) Paralegal, one (1) Lead Investigator, and twenty-nine (30) support staff members.

The Victim Services Division is supervised by a Director and is responsible for providing advocacy services, mandated victims’ rights notification, and compensation assistance to crime victims. In addition to the Director, Victim Services has one (1) Administrative Assistant, five (5) Crime Victim Advocates, one (1) Crime Victim Compensation Coordinator, and four (4) Crime Victim Notification Specialists.
