Art Gradillas was elected to Yuma County Constable Precinct 1 in November of 2022 after having been appointed to the position by the Board of Supervisors in October of 2022 to fill the vacant position. Art has been with the Yuma County Constable’s office since 2007 serving as a Deputy Constable and later as Chief Deputy Constable.
Prior to his employment with the Constable’s office, Art retired from the Yuma Police Department, having served over 20 years. During his time with YPD, Art worked as a patrol officer, was an instructor in both the DARE and GREAT programs, and Community Policing Unit.
Art has been married to Linda since 1993 and has 1 daughter, April.
Born and raised in Yuma, Art carries on a tradition of public service brought forth by his father Art T. Gradillas who also retired from the Yuma Police Department, his mother Doris retired from YRMC. Art has one brother, John.
When not working, Art enjoys spending time with his family. His favorite vacation spot is Plymouth, MA where his wife Linda was born and raised. An avid Red Sox fan, Art tries to make his way to Fenway Park when in New England.
