Yuma County Health District Launches 2025-2026 Flu Vaccination Campaign

YUMA, AZ — The Yuma County Health District is offering the 2025–2026 seasonal influenza vaccine as of Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at its main location, 2200 W. 28th Street. Flu shots will be available to all individuals aged 6 months and older, with a cost of $25 for adults and $10 for individuals 18 and under. The Health District accepts Medicare Part B, AHCCCS, and some private insurance plans with proper ID and insurance card.

The Health District encourages residents to get vaccinated early to help reduce the spread of flu in the community. Trivalent flu vaccines are formulated to protect against three main groups of circulating seasonal influenza Type A and B viruses: an A(H1N1) virus, an A(H3N2) virus, and a B/Victoria lineage virus.

This year’s egg-based flu vaccine formulation includes protection against three updated strains:

• A/Victoria/4897/2022 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus
• A/Croatia/10136RV/2023 (H3N2)-like virus (Updated)
• B/Austria/1359417/2021 (B/Victoria lineage)-like virus
