Yuma County Unveils Strategic Plan for FY 2025-2029

Yuma, AZ – Yuma County is proud to announce the launch of its Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2025-2029, which will officially take effect on July 1, 2024. This comprehensive plan outlines a new vision, mission, and values aimed at guiding Yuma County towards a prosperous and sustainable future.

Mission "Working together to innovatively deliver excellent services essential to fostering a safe, healthy and thriving community."

Our mission is to deliver exceptional public services, foster economic growth, and enhance the quality of life for all residents. Through collaboration, transparency, and innovation, we are committed to meeting the evolving needs of our diverse community.

Yuma County Administrator, Ian McGaughey expressed enthusiasm about the new strategic direction, stating, “This plan incorporates new tools to ensure it remains relevant and integrated into our daily activities, shaping and guiding how we serve our community.”

The Strategic Plan sets forth clear priorities and goals aimed at enhancing customer service, the health and safety of the community, responsible resource management, operational advances, economic development and infrastructure.   Departments/Offices within Yuma County expand on those goals through Action Plans to outline how goals will be achieved.  On July 1, the plan will be published on www.yumacountyaz.gov and updates will be posted semi-annually to ensure the plan stays active and most relevant to the needs of Yuma County residents and visitors over the five-year period.
