County COVID-19 Face Cover Information Line/email will become operational MONDAY
Yuma County has announced a new county-wide COVID-19 Face Cover Information Line and email to serve the unincorporated areas in Yuma County. The information line is administered by the County Administrator’s Office and will offer an entry point to field questions and concerns from County residents, within the unincorporated portions, about Face Covers/Masks. As described in the recent proclamation issued by the Chairman of the Board, the information line has been designed to help educate the public on questions surrounding the wearing of face covers and moving about the county while wearing them.
Operators will respond to calls from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, along with emails to the address below.
On June 24th, the Chairman of the Yuma County Board of Supervisors issued an amended proclamation. Based on the risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus faced by the citizens of Yuma County, the proclamation asks the residents within the unincorporated areas of Yuma County to wear a face cover/mask with some basic caveats for young children and those with medical conditions.

Residents, as well as visitors, in Yuma County Patrons bear a responsibility to assist the the County in its efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Specifically, the proclamation suggests that all customers and visitors to businesses wear face coverings to provide additional protection for employees and customers alike. It is up to individual businesses to establish the protocols for their establishments. Businesses may refuse service to anyone not wearing a face covering.
Businesses must ensure they are aware of and comply with all orders related to COVID-19, at the state, county, and city levels.
