Health District Starting Flu Vaccination on Monday, September 16th

Flu Season Ahead

The 2019-2020 Seasonal Influenza Vaccine will be available at the Health District, 2200 W. 28th Street, Yuma starting Monday, September 16th. Seasonal flu vaccinations are available for all individuals 6 months of age and older. The cost is $25.00 for adults and $10.00 for individuals 18 years and younger. Medicare Part B, AHCCCS and Private Insurance are accepted upon presentation of card.

All of the 2019-2020 influenza vaccine is made to protect against the following three viruses:

  • an A/Brisbane/02/2018 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus (updated)
  • an A/Kansas/14/2017 (H3N2)-like virus (updated)
  • a B/Colorado/06/2017-like (B/Victoria lineage) virus

Quadrivalent vaccines will include the same viruses plus an additional flu B virus called B/Phuket/3073/2013-like (B/Yamagata lineage) virus.
