New Vote Center Locator takes the guesswork out of where to vote

Yuma County is pleased to announce a new Vote Center Locator application: . This joint effort between the Yuma County Recorder, Elections and Information Technology Services allows registered voters to find, and get directions to, the nearest Vote Center no matter where they are in Yuma County.

“Since registered voters can cast their ballot at any Vote Center we wanted to take the guesswork out of figuring out where to go,” explains Robyn Stallworth-Pouquette, Yuma County Recorder. “Whether you’re at work, an appointment or at home the Vote Center Locator will show where and how to get to the nearest place to vote.”

Long gone are the days where voters had to cast a ballot at a specific location. A total of 9 Vote Centers make it easy for voters to cast a ballot anywhere in the County. The information can be obtained on any PC, tablet or mobile device that is connected to the internet and uses the latest in technology from the County's GIS Program.

The Vote Center application offers a simple way for voters to find their election polling place along with directions to the location they choose. When a voter enters the address of their current location, the application will provide the closest Vote Center, along with the respective voting precinct, on the map.

This feature can be used by citizens during the election season, but can also be used throughout the year to contact federal, state and county representatives representing their precinct.
