Victim Services
NATIONAL CRIME VICTIMS’ RIGHTS WEEK IS CELEBRATED IN APRIL
- April of 1981, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed the first National Victim’s Rights Week. Since then communities in our nation have and are becoming more involved in public awareness through public rallies, candlelight observances, and commemorative activities to promote the much needed awareness of victims’ rights and needs.
- Yuma County has its own Victims’ Rights Planning Committee whose goal is to enhance community awareness and education about victims’ rights, the services available to them throughout the judicial process.
For additional information on Crime Victims’ Rights Week or if you are interested in becoming a victims' rights committee member, please call 928-817-4300.
