This week the Yuma County Public Health Services District received 20% of its seasonal influenza vaccine order with additional deliveries expected September and October. The Health District will begin offering seasonal flu vaccine throughout Yuma County during regularly scheduled vaccination times starting September 7, 2010.

Nearly 75 county/city personnel will wrap up Emergency Management training this week at the Yuma County Emergency Operations Center (EOC). The course is designed for individuals who are responsible for developing, staffing managing and operating an EOC. It provides individuals with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage and operate an EOC during crisis situations. The Yuma County EOC is located at the Yuma County Public Works Facility, 4343 S. Ave 5 ½ E.
