Portion of 5th Street CLOSED due to roadwork
Yuma County Public Works has closed a portion of 5th Street while the repair damage due to a sink hole. This closure affects the area between 3680 – 3740 5th Street and is expected to reopen Thursday evening, but could take until 5:00 p.m., Friday.

YUMA COUNTY HOUSING DEPARTMENT (YCHD) awarded Resident Opportunity and Self Sufficiency Grant to Help Fifty Families
Yuma County Housing Director Gloria Mallek recently received a letter from the US Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announcing that the YCHD has been selected to receive a Resident Opportunity and Self Sufficiency (ROSS) Service Coordinator grant of $237,183.

Bond refinancing = money saved
The Yuma County Free Library District had a successful sale of $11,150,000 of General Obligation Refunding Bonds on Wednesday. The District and the taxpayers of the district will be able to realize a Net Present Value (NPV) savings of just over $1,173,000 or 10.10% as a result of this sale.
