Fair Housing Festival helps reduce buyer/renter discrimination Saturday March 11
Buying or renting a home can be a stressful time for many people. Especially if a person feels they are being discriminated against. That’s why Yuma County, partnering with the City of Yuma and local housing advocacy agencies, will be holding the 9th Annual Fair Housing Festival, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at 450 S. 4th Avenue, Yuma. Local organizations will be on hand to provide information on Fair Housing and housing related services available in Yuma County.

Third-Graders to Walk through the Body!
The Yuma County Public Health District’s Arizona Nutrition Network is bringing an interactive event for area third-graders to encourage them to lead healthy lifestyles for the rest of their lives. Body Walk is set up at the Yuma Civic and Convention Center February 22nd - February 28th, 2017, for pre-reserved schools to attend at 9:00 AM every day. There is also a second session, also pre-reserved, beginning at 12:00 noon every day except Tuesday.

Yuma County Courts Limited Fine Reduction Pilot Program
People with unpaid or balance-due traffic tickets from Yuma County’s seven municipal and justice courts have a one-time opportunity to clear their record through a limited fine reduction program. The Arizona Supreme Court and the Superior Court in Yuma County are pleased to announce that Yuma County’s municipal and justice courts are conducting a one-time limited fine reduction program, which allows the courts to reduce certain qualified fines, penalties, and surcharges.
