The goal of the program is to alleviate immediate health and safety issues in the home that pose or would pose a serious threat to the health and safety of the occupants. This is an owner occupied rehabilitation program only and serves the low to moderate income families in Yuma County (not available for in-City of Yuma residents). Applicants must own and live in the home for two years prior to application. Typical repairs are replacement of water heaters, heating and cooling, roofing, septic systems, plumbing and electrical repairs and disability accommodations. All repairs are done by licensed contractors, procured by Development Services.

The program is to eliminate unsafe living environment. General property improvements are not permitted under this program. Applicant must submit an application and necessary documentations to meet qualification requirements. To qualify for the program, the total family income must not exceed 80% of median income for the area.
