Deputy Clerk of the Board
The Clerk of the Board is an appointed officer of the County, pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes §§ 11-401 and 11-241. The County Administrator, Susan Thorpe, currently serves in the capacity of Clerk of the Board. The division, which provides clerical, record keeping and research services, is managed by the Deputy Clerk of the Board, Christy Isbell. A primary responsibility of the Clerk is the preparation of agenda materials for all Board of Supervisor meetings.
Arizona Revised Statutes (ARS) section 38-431.01 (G), states the following language:
G. The secretary of state for state public bodies, the city or town clerk for municipal public bodies and the county clerk for all other local public bodies shall conspicuously post open meeting law materials prepared and approved by the attorney general on their website.
